My husband has been in the HVAC industry for 18 years and was dying to get his hands on this kit. Luckily he photographed every step of opening the package. Note the slits on the two buttons. He had to go through the trouble of returning them and getting a new pair, but since these cuts look like they were made before they were put in the package, he's not comfortable with what he could get as a replacement satisfied. He'll just live with it. No, he hasn't used the devices yet because he just got a new job and won't be using them until next Tuesday. Although the sensors cost half, if not less than half the cost of other popular brands of electronic sensors, performance remains to be seen. I can post an update on the performance of these sensors and see if it outweighs their condition when shipped later. Stay tuned if you're interested.
