Finally completing a seismic retrofit per Simpson's instructions in my nearly 100 year old home in San Diego. Attaching the board to the edge joint is not possible without a nailer. Other than that, I've never heard of nail pullers; I heard it now, along with my neighbors. ratta-tat-tat; cathartic song. Added brackets to touch sections - and no ER trips. I have no idea why there is such a price difference. At 10x the price these expensive nailers should be very impressive; without seeing it. Commercial use possible, for DIY I'm impressed and recommend. Bring on the San Andreas, I think I'm ready.
