This is a good choice for a humidifier that uses HAC filters 504, real filters are about $20 per filter, normal non-branded filters are about $6 per filter, but they cost about $4. I think there can't be much difference between all these paper filters, so now I only buy by price. I appreciate well known brands that claim better mold resistance, but I haven't used them long enough to see mold build up. They have the same moisture-wicking properties, the same size (about 8 inches by 5 inches), and last about as long as anything I have. have been used but they all become crispy after about 5 weeks due to the many minerals in the water I live in. I used to try to extend their lifespan by soaking them in white vinegar, but it's not worth it. They are well packaged - an outer bag and two inner bags, each with two filters. It will take some time for the new filter to form a round shape, but then you're done. I recommend turning the filter over every few days to keep it from drying out and using a good bacteriostatic. Distilled water will likely extend the life of all of these filters, but is not essential. I can recommend these 4 packs as a solid budget option for these easy to discontinue and forget about disposables.
