Review on LG 29WK600 W 29 inch UltraWide Monitor, 2560X1080P, Adjustable, ‎29WK600-W by John Worlds

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent monitor with a few major flaws

What I like about this monitor: 1. Good color2. Clear picture 3. It's wide (obviously) 4. Good stand What I don't like about this monitor: 1. It takes a long time to wake up or turn off. Sometimes black screen for 10-15 seconds before the screen lights up. It's annoying to have to wait so long for the screen to display an image.2. The description advertises this screen with a thin frame. The plastic itself at the edge of the screen is thin, maybe 2mm. But the panel doesn't reach that edge. The actual distance between the end of the panel and the edge of the screen is well over 10mm or 5/8 inch. So when you connect two of these together, you have a combined Apple Watch-wide bezel between your screens. To me, that's not a thin bezel.3. The controls are extremely illogical, hard to find and ergonomically awkward to use. It's the only button at the bottom rear of the screen and is meant to look like a small joystick, but it rarely registers movement in the direction you think you're moving it, and 75% of the time you're trying to push it , it actually registers it as a joystick movement, not a click. Very uncomfortable to use.4. Trying to find their vaunted split-screen control software is like joining Indiana Jones on one of his adventures. You will search, you will follow clues, and the place you will eventually find will not be what you expected. I had to download from another monitor's support page because it says "No matching product" even though you go there by clicking on the product link.
