A very good basic monitor with no frills. No HDMI or display port, no speakers, no LED, no glass front, very basic stand. Just a good all round monitor. My first one had a dead pixel in the top left corner so I replaced it. The second has a tricky "2" key, but it can be used. The screen itself is fine. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. It's very sharp, with good colors and no ghosting. Colors don't seem as vibrant as on my previous screen, but a quick visit to the Nvidia Control Panel and increasing Digital Vibrance by 5% made a difference. The only issue I have with this monitor (besides the bugs above) is the lack of a DVI cable. i have a lot of stuff But even for a budget monitor, a DVI cable is almost standard these days. If you don't already have it, be sure to get it before you buy it. As for the recommendation? All in all understood! For the price you can't go wrong! If you DO NOT NEED HDMI/Display Port or speakers (who needs built-in speakers :P) this is a good choice. ---- As for the loud comment, I heard my comment make a noise. It's almost inaudible on my PC, but there is a slight hum that depends on the brightness. It tends to go up and down as it climbs. Strange, but far from a problem.
