I bought this for a trip to Las Vegas knowing I would probably want to carry a spare charger in case my current one fails during my trip (which has happened in the past), especially since it would be difficult to find a reasonable substitute during my trip. This turned out to be my main charger for the 2 weeks I stayed at the hotel as it has twice as many ports as I have now and sits flush with the lamp socket provided by the hotel with no need for extension cords, extension cords, etc. I was able to charge my laptop , router, phone and other USB accessories easily connect. The charger does get a bit warm over time, but I've had no issues with it when it comes to charging my devices. This charger also appears to be an improvement over the 65W version as this version had some issues charging my HP Spectre. x360 15" 2018 version. This 100w version had no issues and supports almost all fast charging protocols when tested with a protocol tester (including PPS). Foldable pens are good too, making the charger compact without it being scratched on items in your luggage. If you plan to travel with it, you can purchase a longer USB-CC cable (e.g. 6ft) as the included cable will be a little shorter if your outlet is a little far away. So far I've stayed all the hotels close to the outlet so the lamp has never been a problem for me, but keep that in mind if your hotel is a bit different.
