Purchased to transfer recordings from a DVR to a flash drive. In the literature and manuals it sounds like "plug and play" with idiot protection. not quite. It didn't work with the software I had for my camcorder or windowed media player. However, after reading some reviews, I found that there are a number of compatible free video capture software. Tried a few. Liked OBS "open streaming software". The best. The picture is good, the sound is a little wheezy, but sufficient for my purposes. Please make sure you turn off your camera. Basically satisfied. A decent product for the price just needs better instructions.
