Handle gets too hot

Excellent saucepan, better non-stick than Teflon, lightweight but evenly warm. The steel handle gets much hotter than the steel handle on my NuWave pot. Using a hacksaw, cut three slots at the base of the handle (see photo). That helped, but didn't solve the problem. I then concluded that the angled hollow handle acts like a chimney, drawing hot air in from the side of the pot. So I sealed the rear end of the handle with hot glue (4th photo). This kept the main part of the handle cool. If I had to do it all over again I would start by plugging the end of the handle. (Slots may not be required.)
