Excellent pens. I originally bought them because they reminded me of the look of other Art pens and I was curious if they were the same. I honestly can't be sure! What I can say about them is that they have a nice matte black body (round) that is nice to hold in hand. The pencils (marked with the Soft series) are soft, but NOT Prisma or Colorsoft soft. Color variety is good (with a good mix of blues, pinks and greens) and some bright/pastel colors. There aren't many dark browns or neutral grays out there if you're looking for a set that delivers those colors. The pencils are light, although I did need a blender for the paper I was working on. Finally the tin got strong and the pencils arrived safely, although I got rid of my tin because it was very long and took up my whole desk. Overall this is a good set for around $17. I've found the price to go up, but there are better options in the higher price ranges. I'm glad to have it.
