Ok honest review here I bought this because it took over an hour to dry my hair and then I was exhausted. I have a medical condition that makes normal working life a lot harder, so the ease of using a blow dryer and round brush in one sounded great, but it didn't work for me. Honestly I cut my long hair to shoulder length and tried it well with long hair, it dried out but still took a long time and it wasn't straight, it was fluffy and frizzy even with heat protectant and straightening cream. . On my short hair it dried in less time but didn't give a smooth finish, I still had to use a flat iron to finish it. Pros: Dries no faster than my regular dryer though. It's light and will travel well. Cons - does not straighten, leaving hair fluffy, not silky and not smooth. I love the Chi brand. I use a Chi flat iron and their heat protectant and shine spray but it wasn't for me. . I don't recommend trying to get from the scalp to the ends as the scalp can burn. It is best to part the hair and work close to the skin, but not in direct contact. It doesn't work for thick, coarse hair, it just doesn't get smooth. The ideal person for this product has medium to thick hair with a slight wave or loose curls. My hair is naturally curly and while it's fine, my stylist says it's enough for two people. In the end, your hair won't be as straight as if you just used a good blow dryer and a ceramic round brush.
