I've been gluing tubular bicycle tires myself for a long time, about 35 years. I don't think I'll ever use glue again. This tape is much faster/tidier/cleaner. I tape off the (prepared) rim, oil it, inflate the tire at about 20psi, then put a pencil between the tire and rim next to the nipple. The twist of the pencil allows enough slack to remove the protective paper layer from the exposed tape. Keep moving little by little, guiding the wheel straight ahead. When everything is ready, pump it up to about 150psi or whatever your particular tire can handle (these are Vittorias rated at 200psi). Ready and clean! much more consistent than what I could do with glue and I've been doing this for a while.
