There is a decent hammer out there somewhere but it might take some work to get it out. The sample I received had a small dent on the surface of the hammer as well as a puncture. The hammer was roughly machined and not a smooth round shape, which also required some work. All in all about 45 minutes of work with a hand file and 120 grit sandpaper to finish polishing both sides got the hammer where it should have been "out of the box". I'm not unhappy with it, but even for the price I feel like it had to be ready the way it is. So it gets three stars for a decent foundation but loses two for being something of a DIY project in itself. It's best to think of it as a set of ball bearing hammers and set your expectations accordingly. Otherwise I have no complaints. I wanted a plain 8 ounce mallet with a wooden handle and that's what I got.
