Handy Hammer is the best in Hammers

Good hammer. Well built. Beautifully crafted head, solid wood handle is securely attached to the head. Nicely balanced. Must be durable. Worth the price

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Good solid hammer.

I bought this hammer for home use to help me build my guns. It's helped two builds so far and it's still in good shape for what I'm using it for.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Nothing here

Terrible. in Power & Hand Tools

You get what you pay for, so to speak. The hammer head is tilted so much that it looks like a novelty, it's not worth a dollar. I recently bought a Stanley hammer at Walmart for $4 and much better quality than this piece of junk. It is clear that there is no quality control in these things.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Negative Gift

Looks well made; MATCHES BALANCE

Good lightweight metalworking hammer. Honestly $$$, long (enough) hickory handle. Good shape, minimal (useless) trim to remove. The hammer is well balanced. Particular attention is paid to the attachment of the head. looks like glue/epoxy plus a circular wedge. A good addition to your tool box for those tricky hobbies or general light jobs. Easy to recommend.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Crumpled

Sufficient, with some work.

There is a decent hammer out there somewhere but it might take some work to get it out. The sample I received had a small dent on the surface of the hammer as well as a puncture. The hammer was roughly machined and not a smooth round shape, which also required some work. All in all about 45 minutes of work with a hand file and 120 grit sandpaper to finish polishing both sides got the hammer where it should have been "out of the box". I'm not unhappy with it, but even for the price I feel like…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Tape

GreatNeck has to say Great Wall Imported

This stick with a piece of metal on the end is not a ball head hammer. Hickory stands on the stick with a knot. Must be an optional model. And I didn't have to pay anything extra! Does the bullet end look like a conical, pointed thing? The flat face is not at 90Β° to the grip. Whoever made this thing in CHINA has no idea what a ball head hammer is supposed to be. Now I know why my old one was stolen. Great Neck made good instruments a long time ago. That's why I ordered GreatNeck. So sad never…

Pros
  • Forged steel head for strength and durability
Cons
  • Not reliable

Very low quality! good for hammers

The one I received had a horribly shaped head - a ball point hammer would describe it better! Of course, I could give it a more comfortable shape, which the manufacturer should have done. If you don't want or don't want to grind up this crappy product to make it usable, DO NOT buy it. I could easily make it at home as I have everything I need to make it. I thought it would be quicker to buy and it was, but I feel like I paid for something that should never have left production IF quality…

Pros
  • Clear coat for rust prevention
Cons
  • Poor instructions
