I've had them on my door for over a week now and they're still as quiet as the day I installed them. The glue is pretty sticky and the bumpers can definitely compress as much as they claim. I've noticed that the sound of the door slamming is much more muted - it's not 100% eliminated, but it definitely doesn't resonate in my house anymore. However, these bumpers have really helped me when my door is too tight against the door. the hinge to which it adheres. We tried fixing this with different methods of opening and closing the hinge and that improved it, but didn't solve all of the alignment issues we were having. I'm sure we'll get a new door/frame in a while. But having the bumpers in place deadened the creaking, so just for soundproofing reasons I wanted a new door instead of cursing the door. to wake up my baby. If you're having a little trouble with your doors, these bumpers can help you too! So glad I bought them. I will get more to muffle the slamming of other doors in my house ^_^
