This thing is constantly missing by 2 yards. How exactly 2 meters shorter. I have a second

I work full-time as a caddy in the summer. The price of this product and the reviews were amazing so I jumped on it. I've been with people who have Bushnells, Nikons and more expensive and my first model was always 2 meters shorter, CONSTANTLY, how intimidating, almost exactly 2 meters, sometimes 3-4 meters shorter (no tilt mode, just standard shots, but of course this also affects the tilt). I contact Precision Pro - their customer service is AMAZING! How awesome they were so kind and helpful and even sent me one in the mail when UPS informed them of the return so I could get it working. Can't speak highly enough of the company and how they handle things. BUT. got a second one. the same thing. Two meters are missing every time. Well, maybe other devices are wrong, but not ALL other devices are wrong. I've compared it to every caddy I've worked with and it's always been short. Well, for 99% of golfers it doesn't matter what two yards is, but in terms of professionalism and when I'm running tournaments with caddies for guys who can really make a difference with two yards, it's pretty bad. I've seen reviews on here about how accurate it is - it just isn't, I've tested it with every range finder in my yard all season - not sure if others have done it and just taken it for granted, as it is because it works Great. Every time I use this thing I add 2 yards to my head gauge for my players and even for myself when I'm playing which is fine. but it's kind of annoying as hell. Great company, great attitude, but for those who need precision, none exist yet. Just read some of the other reviews and it looks like the battery is a common issue as well. I just thought I was. So yes, what others say about the battery is true. It constantly gives bad battery readings and the device dies. I just assumed it was me, but no, same problems as others. The new battery in the viewfinder was half empty after half a lap. I used three batteries in this thing and have to unscrew and screw it back in to get it working again. After reading some other reviews I can say that this REALLY happens regularly. Not only me. Curse. I have one that I bought off eBay for about $90 and two years later it still has the original battery and it sucks. So yes, I think they definitely have a problem with this range finder. I liked their customer service so for the past few months I've put up with the second one and resigned myself to my fate but I'm very disappointed and wish I could send it back for a refund as both devices have the same issues. And I paid $250 but that was before they lowered the prices so I feel really screwed. I just feel bad because I love how the company handles everything but the $250 I could have spent on a range finder that suited my job. this is my livelihood.

Pros
  • 600 YARD RANGE: This golf laser range finder has a 600 yard range, is waterproof, displays measurements to 1 yard, and can be set to meters or yards. It's accurate to within a meter and produces a brief vibration when you fire at a target.
