Well I'm very impressed. I really didn't think they were that great (in fact I ordered other types to be able to compare). Before ordering, I was concerned that the sliding lid would slip too easily when being moved and/or fall off at some point. Mind you, I literally ONLY installed this thing on my laptop (Dell XPS) so this is not a review based on the longevity of the product; Just my first impressions. Installation was easy. They give you little clear strips of adhesive so you have better control than your fingers on this TINY thing when attaching it (see photo). The lid does not slip during normal movement of the device, and it only takes a little effort to move it instead of just touching it (see demo video). I don't know if it will come off over time or if the glue isn't working, so I'm planning to improve it after a period of use. It also looks like there is a ledge on the edge of the glued piece that prevents the lid from falling off. Hooray! Unlike my old (jerky) note cover, this thing completely blocks outside light and gives a black screen when the camera is closed (see photo). My laptop's screen is also almost completely flat when closed, so I needed something very thin, so as not to damage the screen when closed - as close as possible to thickness in terms of thickness (see photo). So far, I am very satisfied. Once I'm sure it will stand the test of time, I plan on using the second one on my Samsung Galaxy s9 (I already know it works, even with a case). Here's hoping!
