Works great but works better with some preparation for disposal. Run a small stream of water down the sink, then squeeze a bottle of Dawn (or something similar) down the sink and turn on the disposer. As the detergent and water mix in the container, it will begin to foam, breaking down the grease and slime in the pit. Let it run for about 10-20 seconds and then turn off the recycle. Wait a minute or two and use this brush to brush away any remaining dirt. This system is basically the same as the "official" disposal cleaning bags, but it's cheaper and you don't have to buy anything extra (as long as you have dish soap with you).
