It's hard to find a cage that claims to fit the Nikon D500. This one advertises that it's good for the D7000, I also have a slightly smaller camera. The device works with either of these, and I was able to tilt the grip on the right side to get to the front and back buttons. I'm no expert on using this hardware so can't speak to value for money compared to the competition, but it seems to do what I want it to do. I make a tripod with a wireless sound receiver and a blade HDMI capture screen more than I actually wanted by making the hot shoe heavier.
