Review on πŸ“· Skyreat 18mm Wide Angle Lens for DJI Pocket 2/1 and OSMO Pocket, Magnetic Lens Filter for Perfect Vlogging - Essential Accessories for Enhanced Camera Performance by Jeremy Carpenter

Good value wide-angle lens, but not as strong as wide-angle effect

This Skyreat wide-angle lens has good build quality and looks similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket 2 original wide-angle lens. When the Osmo Pocket 2 is plugged in, it automatically detects the wide-angle lens mount, and when you turn off the camera, it turns off with the lens facing out to protect it like an OEM lens. Unfortunately, I couldn't see any significant difference when taking pictures. Photo taken with a standard Pocket 2 lens versus a wide-angle lens. I have tried, capture a medium-distance close-up and a long-distance landscape with a regular lens, and then from the same spot with a wide-angle lens attached. This seems most important when you are very close to the subject. On the plus side, I didn't notice any noticeable vignetting or edge darkening effects, although there was noticeable perspective distortion and a slight softness around the edge. .This is much cheaper than the original DJI accessory, but the angle of view is not specified - only the 18mm equivalent lens. The DJI lens has a more pronounced wide-angle effect at 110Β° FOV and 15mm equivalent focal length. The lens is made in China and comes with a beautiful, soft lined hard plastic storage case and a microfiber cloth for cleaning. This seems most important when you are very close to the subject.
