Review on No. 918 Martine Microfiber 3-Piece Kitchen Curtain Set, 54 in x 36, White - Elegant and Functional Window Treatment for Your Kitchen by Justin Metz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is a very thin curtain but not transparent.

Bought a white set. That's exactly what I wanted. Not transparent and not heavy. I wanted light to enter the bathroom when it's closed while still maintaining privacy. I use a sheer small to medium hair clip to tie it back. Clear clips are barely noticeable and do their job well. I never used the clear hair clips included in the pack with the brown hair clips I wanted for my hair and now they work great on the curtain. My window was only 33 inches high and the curtains say 36 inches. However, once you put them on the pole, the length shortens and they are only about 1 inch long to fit the window. When I use the clips they are the perfect length and just touch the sill. I'm assuming the curtain is 1 inch shorter and the narrow stem a half inch and the trim lifts the curtain another inch except at the very edges. So for my window it worked perfectly. It creases a little on the windowsill, but they don't crease when they're closed, which is only between 6am and 8am. I had to mount them on the inside of the window as the window literally abuts the corner of the wall and was not possible over the window bar. The window was only 23 inches wide and no stores nearby had a small pole that used to be $1.99 and the cheapest on Amazon was $12 so I bought a two piece holder for 49 cents (the pack had 4 sets , but only one set was). required) and 59 cents. rod for the cornice in the hobby lobby and just painted the dowel white like my lights and curtain. The effect was perfect. The cost was very reasonable. So NOT transparent enough to see through but thick enough for privacy. You could probably only see a faint shadow to know if someone was there at night when you went outside. It's a window at the back of the house with a fence so it didn't bother me. I would go for something thicker OR a darker color to take the shadow from the exterior if it's in front of the house.
