When I was wrestling I used some IV's and loved these shoes to death. I bought an expensive pair of Adidas wrestling shoes and they fell apart pretty quickly. Since then I've been using Asics running shoes (both for running and wrestling). Now I use these shoes for boxing. Fits as expected. I usually wear size 7 shoes but ordered a size 8 before to keep my toes level. These shoes stretch after purchase so maybe 7.5 would be fine for me. In any case, the sole has no grip, it's fairly flat, very flexible and so far durable. The shoes also breathe very well. I was surprised as my split second drips always smelled awful. It doesn't apply to these. I found the grip to be quite good on dry ground, but you're unlucky when something's wet. I wear them to better feel the balls of my toes. I bet they are good for lifting shoes too. I haven't had any problems with defects, but I'm sure they definitely will be.
