Review on ๐Ÿ‘– Columbia Women's Anytime Outdoor Boot Cut Pant: Stylish Comfort for Your Adventure by Stephen Pendergrass

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice pants AFTER I cut them to size

Purchased size 20 in blue. COLOUR: A slightly odd blue, definitely has a gray undertone - still works as a neutral pant colour. This is a chameleon - if you wear a navy top, the pants will appear gray; Put on a gray top and the pants will appear bluish. MATERIAL: nice and stretchy in ALL directions! Very comfortable to wear due to the elasticity. Appearance is a dense 'woven' fabric that is silky to the touch but with a matte finish (not shiny). All pockets are made of mesh so that they don't show up under the outer material and are deep enough. Although the material wrinkles after sitting for a long time, they gradually disappear after standing or hanging. HARDWARE: The clasp is metal and sturdy (doesn't open as easily as some plastic clasps when I bend over). Nylon zipper. SIZE: LENGTH measured 31.5 inches after one wash and dry (no shrinkage length or width). I have a 27.5" inseam, so I had to hem them - I have a sewing machine and I'm used to it unless I can buy pants with a "short" inseam. The PANTS WIDTH were perfect for me (Thigh 29", calf 16"). ). I think a size 18 will also work, but it will be tighter than I'd like (more like a pair of slim leg pants). I wanted a looser leg."") The drawstring was as wide as the drawstring(!) in the 1.5" wide waistband, which made it difficult to evenly distribute the gathering when I pulled it tight enough to keep the pants from riding down. Instead, I took took off the drawstring and put "waistband" through the 2 slits I cut in the inside of the waistband at the back near the left and right hip seams, the zigzag stitch closed the slit I cut to insert the elastic ( the elastic measures 1.25 inches wide and 3 inches shorter than the hip seams z u hip). The waistband is nicely tightened so it fits me comfortably. I can put the pants on, zip and button them up, and I'm good to go! See the attached pictures. I plan on wearing these pants hiking here in Colorado and will be taking them on a 3 week tour of Java and Bali this fall and a tour of Chile and Argentina (including Patagonia) next fall. It should be very comfortable to wear on long flights due to its elasticity and water resistance. durability of the substance.
