My Saris bike rack bought for a Toyota Matrix didn't work with my new Prius. The metal clips did not fit in the gap in the tailgate. Switching the seat belts to sunroof latches solved that problem. Rubberized anchors are inserted into the hatch, after which the Saris unit can be securely attached to the Prius configuration. This takes a bit more work as I don't like leaving the carrier in the car when not in use so every time I drive I have to unbuckle the straps so I can stow the main unit. You'll also need to adjust the side straps into position before closing the sunroof, and this takes some practice to get right. However, it has allowed me to continue using the saree posture, which I really like.
