The material is not rubber or silicone. Durable hard plastic.

Perfect fit for my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited! I was a bit surprised when I opened the box and found that it wasn't a rubberized material. More like hard plastic (maybe not quite plastic, but I don't know the name of this material). Don't worry about it being slippery when wet or in winter. Let's see how it behaves in winter and if it gets slippery. Here's how: Remove the cloth floor mats that came with the car.
