Review on ZERO JAPAN Ceramic Coffee Dripper by Rebecca Bright

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Dangerous product in coffee, tea and espresso

Love the green color and the fact that it is lead and cadmium free. I totally wanted to love it, but it's advertised as fitting 3.75 inch mugs, which is exactly the size of my coffee mugs. It fits, but it's quite a balancing act. I'm afraid to let go of the handle because it's about to fall into the cup. There are small ribs on the bottom edge of the dripper that need to run down the sides of the cup to help stabilize it, but on the 3.75-inch cup, only one of them extends over the rim, allowing one end to protrude slightly from the rim of the cup Mug could slip and fall off at the slightest movement. I'd love to go back but it took forever to get here from Japan and I haven't found a better lead/cadmium free dripper so I guess I'll keep it, maybe buy thinner cups. :(Update: I'll try to get this back now. It's tipped over a few times and the last time it threw hot coffee grounds and water across the kitchen and burned my hand. I'm tired of trying to balance it perfectly so it can It's not too much trouble and danger.
