Review on OSCY 7-inch Portable Monitor with 1024X600 Resolution, Built-in Speakers and Earphone Port - DD-7F-XSQ by Justin Rochford

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent video quality, but audio is only output in mono

I didn't mean to give only 4 stars, but for those who want to use it for private headphone browsing, the mono sound can surprise and disappoint. The frequency response and the overall sound quality of the headphones are OK, but... . . . . . mononucleosis. Sufficient, but blah. There are two small speaker grilles under the screen, which suggest the sound is stereo, but the sound is actually coming from a single speaker on the back. Other than that, this is a great little monitor. The controls are on the front and the menus are easily accessible and easy to use. The operation is simple and intuitive, the picture sharp and clear. It has HDMI, VGA, and A/V inputs, so you'll rarely (if ever) need adapters or converters. The headphone jack is also on the front. I only intend to use it to set up a DVD player during live meetings while the main audio/video system is processing other program material. At the moment it is impossible to predict its reliability, but if necessary I will update the rating.
