I bought this little kit because I was warned that felting needles break easily and I was just getting started with felting. I have to say these needles are not as fragile as others I have used since. I enjoy working with them and have returned to them as other needles I've bought since have broken quickly. The styrofoam pads are small and fine for short-term use, but I've found that the "foam" peeling off has affected my wool sculptures. This is a great kit for short trips, the needles last forever, the felt pad isn't great and be warned - felting seems to be a lot of fun due to its creative nature. If you plan on heavy felting, buy an extra felting sponge or brush. This little kit is ideal for a quick weekend craft and is priced to match. The seller was great as the kit was shipped very quickly and arrived in perfect condition when received.
