These felting needles are completely useless. The spikes are so tiny that they don't catch the fur, and even after several tries and SEVERAL pricks, I couldn't get the even wool to stick to myself or any other piece of felt. I was so happy when I found it here as it is very difficult to get needle felting supplies from local craft stores. I was SHOCKED by the bad reviews. These are my favorite needles to work with today. The pad that comes with the kit is junk so don't buy it for that (it will peel off your subject and is very small). However, the needles are very sharp and felt great. I bought this little kit because I was warned that felting needles break easily and I was just getting started with felting. I have to say these needles are not as fragile as others I have used since. I enjoy working with them and have returned to them as other needles I've bought since have broken quickly.
