Micron E Die, Very Solid Kit.

This is a very underrated brand. I have bought 4 seperate kits, two of them being 8GB warhawks. I bought them about 3 months apart. I originally ran them on a 3900x but upgraded to a 5900x when it released. My motherboard is an x570 Aorus Master.I ran them at the default speeds and timings for a bit but I couldnt resist tweaking them. If you use thaiphoon burner, it wont show you exactly what type of micron die it is running. After hours of research and tweaks I came to the conclusion that these are micron E dies. (slight chance it is H die, they perform similarly)This kit is very solid. If you want to overclock, I suggest only running two sticks as that is where this kit really shines at this price point, more on that later. Anyways, Running 4 sticks I was able to get them stable at 3733 @1.46v with timings of 17-22-8-20-36 with subtimings adjusted as well. Although it would post at 3800mhz with these settings, the sub timings had to be loosend quite a bit to be stable, so much so that performance is worse and not worth it. They would not post even with the loosest of timings above this with 4 sticks (infinity fabric was capped at 1600mhz for stability sake but it can run 1:1 at 3800mhz, in my cpu at least your cpu might perform better or worse in the infinity fabric)Where this kit really suprised me was its performance with two sticks removed. I am aware that 4 sticks are always harder to get stable but I was disappointed that the max I could not reach 3800mhz and also 3733mhz had looser primaries than I would like. I was not expecting much more, maybe slightly tighter timings and a little less voltage. I was wrong, very wrong.Keep in mind I locked my infity fabric speed at 1600mhz until my final trial for stability reasons as the IF can be very finicky.I started at 3800mhz @1.41v 16-18-8-20-34 = passed it easy , rock stable with 0 errors on p95 blend test during 36 hours. I also ran memtest64 for 12 hours after the blended test. 0 errors.I was indeed suprised by this.I followed this up with 4000mhz @1.45v 16-18-8-20-36 = POST , but blue screen.I tried 4000mhz @1.47v 17-21-8-21-36 = POST + stable ( only tested on p95 for 6-7hrs so im not going to say rock stable, but i played for a few hrs with 0 issues, only kept this profile for less than 48hrs )Now for the final profile I used and spent the most time tweaking and adjusting sub timings and also the best performing.4200mhz @1.5v 17-22-8-22-36 = rock solid, with over 100hrs of game time with 0 issues. I tested it with the p95 for about 48hrs give or take, and it ran like a champ however the sticks were warm to the touch, not super hot but noticeable. memtest64 for an addition 20 something hours also revealed 0 errors.I used this profile as my daily driver until I upgraded to another OLOY product, the blade series which has Samsung B Dies. I was very suprised how much headroom these kits have. This was as far as these sticks would go and i noticed it was very sensitive to the read timings. Above 4000mhz it would not post without a value lower than 21. Also, I unlocked my IF at 4200mhz but my cpy cannot go over 2000mhz , so i kept it at 2000mhz anything over gave me mem errors. Also, this kit would not post above 4200mhz, but that maybe IMC limitations as my current B dies also will not post above 4200mhz. I tried the loosest timings possible but it would not boot at all.For a kit that I paid 70$ for, this is an amazing value. Anyone that says they dont run at advertised speeds is full of crap + 9.9/10 they run pieces of crap motherboards. If you buy a crap mobo, what can I say you get what you pay for. If you are going to overclock, do it with a decent x570.This kit is amazing and highly recommended.

Pros
  • DDR4 2x16GB UDIMM, total 32 GB
Cons
  • May not be fully compatible with certain operating systems
