We bought this because we knew someone who had it and who could get a better signal than us. Sometimes the signal can be weak, this works great to get a stronger signal! When my husband is at his computer and I am at mine, the EnGenius user gets a stronger signal. No signal is generated where there is none. For a stronger signal, this is the product.
