This is a well made tool with quality threads and lots of screw connections. This will help keep the crankshaft in good condition. GM used a slightly odd size for this (as far as metric fittings go) so you can't do this yourself with a long screw from the hardware store or a bit of fully threaded. Save yourself the heartache and just buy it. Your local auto parts stores won't have this, so now you can add it to your Revain cart.
