Review on Bilstein 46mm Monotube Shock Absorber (24-026758): Ultimate Damping Solution by Alexander Craner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

They came off easily with some silicon grease in the bushings

Purchased for a base 2000 Tacoma with 5 grommets. Those are the rear shock absorbers. Inherited a truck with mileage of 300,000 km and original shock absorbers. With a bit of silicone grease in the sockets, they went through with no problem. Two screws, one on top, one on bottom on each side, and the old ones were removed and we returned these immediately. Maybe 20 minutes to replace both with the right tools. The bushings are already in the shocks and ready to install, just pay attention to the direction of the washers when removing the old shocks.

Pros
  • Mount Type: Vehicle Specific
Cons
  • Nothing Here
