Review on πŸ” Enhance Cycling Experience with the Kinetic Riser Ring: The Ultimate Training Companion by Pete Norris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

If you have time - do it yourself. If you are busy buy this.

This applies to the trainer and spacer. Riser Ring is coming to an end. KINETIC ROAD MACHINE SMART BIKE TRAINERI bought a Kinetic Road Machine smart bike trainer to complement my mountain biking. I only go to the mountains once a week. However, I wanted to work on my strength and endurance several times a week to supplement my regular training. I've been looking at "Spin" type cycles. However, they take up a lot of space and are difficult to move. My home gym already has machines, free weights, a treadmill, elliptical trainer, and boxing machines. Adding a rotation cycle would mean losing something else, or a serious gym limitation. So I figured Kinetic might work. I use an old Trek 950 Hardtail (no suspension) with Kinetic. It connects in seconds and has the added benefit of allowing me to ride a bike similar to what I normally ride. I swapped out the rear off-road tire for a 'slick' one. This works very well with Kinetic. There is very little noise and it is easy to watch TV while driving. Another benefit is that I can move the setup to another room when my wife works out at the gym. When the bike is not in use, it takes a few seconds to unhook the bike and take it out of the gym. Kinetic takes up very little space. Another advantage: The acquisition costs are significantly lower than those of a suitable press. KINETIC APP: After reading some Kinetic App reviews, I was ready to be disappointed. The app only resets the program once in a few months of using the machine. The app has a whole bunch of programs (besides, you can just do an unprogrammed "free ride”), which I really liked. I like that I can see in real time how I'm running the program. The only real "problem" I had was when I forgot to turn on Bluetooth on my tablet. FIXED HUB RING I use it to balance the height of the rear and front wheels. worth $26? Probably no. You can do something with multiple boards for a few bucks. However, if your time is valuable, you may consider it. It works. It is too expensive. WARNINGS When I pull the bike into the car, I notice that the frame flexes a bit (as to be expected). While that doesn't bother me on my 27 year old Trek, I don't want to tighten my full carbon MB in the frame. It could be good, but I don't want to try. In general I am very happy with the kinetics. My wife (also a biker) is very happy with the Kinetic.
