The instructions that came with this product state that you must wait *at least* 24 hours before attaching the ring camera to this device. I followed the instructions as the longer arm length of this device puts more force on the glue and affects the ability of the glue. You can also use screws with this unit, but mine is installed in an area where I have to pay for repairs if the unit eventually fails, so I went with glue (i.e. causes the least amount of damage to the wall ). The camera has been installed for about a week so far and is as solid as a rock. I shook myself a little to try and feel the instability, but nothing came out. We have a fairly heavy front door that often falls shut under its own weight, sometimes almost slamming shut. I once watched a live feed of such an event to see if the camera image would shake, but again, nothing happened. I am very surprised that the glue works so well. I was expecting a second camera to be needed by now but I'm very happy to be able to keep it for spares or maybe even a second camera. Pleasantly surprised at how well this product works.
