The Bluetooth device in this emits compressed and rich sound. You won't notice this if you're playing old records, but something new with good bass and a punchy snare will ring through your speakers. The Bluetooth device has no volume control and sends a 100% hot signal, compressed and clipped. Connecting via an RCA cable sounds phenomenal. Most people won't notice, only people with good hearing, I broke down and returned it as bluetooth was the only point to get it. I have a House of Marley turntable with built in bluetooth and the bluetooth quality is much higher, clearer sound even if you turn the turntable volume all the way up (this bluetooth has a volume control), but I paid $250 again. for the unit. This is great for a wired connection and ok for Bluetooth depending on what you're playing and how audiophile you are.
