There are 2 types of hair in our family: fine, straight hair that gets greasy if not washed every day, and fine, wavy hair ( but a lot of it) which also gets greasy but can take a few days between washes. Both types of products are easy to weigh. We were wary after reading all the different reviews but gave it a try - only the shampoo because we were beholden to our conditioner. I was blown away by how clean my hair was after just one wash! I usually have to do a second round because of the product on my hair, but I didn't have to! My conditioner also seemed to absorb more easily into my hair. Our teenager used it in the morning and in the evening the hair still looked fresh. No greasy crown or temples. I call it victory. We will buy more when we run out. My hair is colored and I had no control over the color. Also, it lathers up enough for a paraben free shampoo and I don't have to use lather anymore like I do in pharmacies. I recommend using a conditioner with it as it cleans the hair to the point where it gets tangled after rinsing. Having a good conditioner and combing through it with your fingers will give you the hair you like. I can't speak for coarse or thick hair, but it works for our hair!
