Baby Foam Hand and Foot Photo Frame Set - a bit tricky to use according to instructions

I ordered a Nuby Baby Hand and Footprint Set for my baby as a keepsake for our family. I've used similar kits that include white foam clay and a jewelry roller. The kit includes a frame, two white foam bags and a pulley. The kit has very simple instructions that omits some details that make the project better. First, make sure your hands are clean and your child's hands and feet are clean. It's not listed in the instructions, but it's an important step in keeping your foam clean. Also, make sure your work area is clean. My white foam clay had large black chunks all over it. My work environment was clean and my hands were clean too. I discovered these pieces by rolling and cutting through the foam. The clay was also a lot stiffer than other foam clays I've used. It took a lot of tries to get the print and it took too much effort to get a good print. Usually only light pressure is necessary and the result is an almost invisible pressure. The wooden roller is also too short and creates impressions in the foam from the end of the roller. To avoid this look, turn the foam over after rolling and use a smooth surface on the underside. At first I tried several times without success to make this kit according to the instructions. I found that I had to make two balls, flatten them by hand, and gently roll them out with my little one's hands and feet. The foam was too stiff to get good prints when rectangular. I prefer the longer plastic rollers that come with similar kits. The frame is beautiful and appears to be well made. If I run into any problems after the prints have dried I will update. This foam and wood roller isn't as good as I've seen in other kits. It took me a long time, although my kid let me try a few times. I think this set will be good when complete, but it wasn't as easy as the other sets available. The clay also contained unusual impurities. I think it's still worth getting as a reminder, but the outcome may vary and the process can take a long time.
