The processor was removed from the system before the HD7970 video card was installed so that it could be used to construct a gaming PC. Because I had no money for a video card for the first three to four months, I had to utilize the video core that was built into the processor. After using the Asus K50AB laptop, I found that the built-in video core showed itself only in its most favorable light. Because this is not a discrete video card, of course, none of the games I played on the laptop were as "hard" as they normally are, but as a stopgap measure, it works wonderfully. The frame rate was also significantly greater. Because the performance of the CPU itself is sufficient to run all recent games, and because I'm not a fan of overclocking, above 9000 gigahertz, or gains of 1-2 frames per second in games, I don't see any reason to spend money on an i7 series processor or an i5 processor with a K index. As for cooling, everything is just a fairy tale. I installed a cheap cooler with a fan that is more or less silent, and that's it. No game makes any propeller noise, with the exception of the video card cooler, which occasionally disturbs the silence.
