The Environmental Protection Agency claims that firewood burns most efficiently at 15-20% humidity. Since this meter only reads 15%, it's not very useful to see if the split wood is ready to be burned. I tested it on 2 year old wood stored under a shed and all showed 15% although this wood burns well.
