Very easy to install and definitely helps protect baby from falling. We walked to the edge of our bunk bed and immediately after we fixed it our baby fell and hit his head on the edge. perfect timing because it could be a disaster. We couldn't get any tears out of her this time, so that tells me it worked. She also can't take it off with her hands, so the grip is pretty strong. The only downside is that it's an eyesore, but that's life with kids - not the product's fault.
