I just bought a new Nemisys Scan and noticed that it is not reading a data stream from my 2007 Dodge 3500 5.9 liter diesel engine. Contacted OTC Technical Support and spoke to Ken. . He informed me that there was a problem reading data on a 2007 Dodge 5.9L Diesel. I specifically bought a scanner to read all the data on this car because it has a CAN bus and I need to read the data stream and the body and chassis codes. Before purchasing this device I contacted OTC technical support and they assured me that there would be no problems with this scan tool reading data on this vehicle. Obviously he was wrong and I lost +$650 for the tool. The OTC Technology Advisor did not have a release date or an estimate of when this issue would be resolved. I find this inexcusable as this car and engine have been out of production for 5 years. Updated 07/26/12. After several days of calls and one frantic call to OTC's human resources department, I contacted a technical consultant named Calvin who was assigned by his manager to help me. I just received a memory card in addition to my 2007 Dodge Diesel. I'm happy with the decision but unhappy with all the hassle. Hopefully the software should be updated by January 2013. Calvin was very helpful but I can't say the same about the helpline technicians. I've had good luck with OTC in the past.
