This is the coat I almost didn’t buy. The previous model rubbed my dog’s arms raw and I didn’t want to repeat the experience. However, this redesigned model fits much better with no chafing at all and is a great coat for in between weather.Make sure that you get the right size - the sleeves should not extend below the elbows. Leo here is 70lbs and wears a size medium, that same size also fits my 52lbs girl. I compared dog to garment measurements to make sure it fits and sized down for Leo.Our winters don’t have much snow but we get much in between weather - windy, cold and lots of rain. For that kind of weather, I love the cloud chaser. My dogs go running with me and warm up, but rain and wind are hard to bear. For freezing temps they have powder hounds, but we use the cloud chaser more often. They are not rain coats and will get wet in a decent shower, but as long as it’s just wet grounds and a light drizzle, they hold up well.This coat doesn’t get the credit it deserves because of its predecessor, but it’s worth giving it a try.
