We bought this gate to keep our dogs out of the main living area. Here are my pros and cons. We've been using this for about 6 months now so we hope this is a helpful review. Benefits1. Good solid construction. The latches are strong and easy to latch with one hand.2. Beautiful view. We have iron balusters on our staircase which is next door and it fits well.3. The angle feature worked great and allowed me to install this through a very odd opening into the living room.4. The ability to add extensions was also key to a through-the-door installation. Disadvantages1. Installed over the baseboards it creates a gap large enough for my small dogs to slide under. I overcame this problem by buying 1X3 pine, cutting them to length, drilling holes, painting them black and using black zip ties to secure them to the bottom of the gate. Looks like they came here. I know this is a children's gate and no child can ever slide under it but wanted to include this for others who might use it as a dog gate. 2. I agree with others that the instructions were unclear. I'm a mechanical engineer and together with my high school honor student it took us a few hours to figure out how it works and install it. I don't think this affects the quality of the product. Just take some time to figure it out when you receive it. Look carefully at the pictures here and it really helps.3. It does not come with the required hardware for drywall installation. Make sure you go to the store and have this on hand. Overall very satisfied, I recommend this product. My sister, who also has several small dogs, fell in love with them when she walked up and saw them. She asked me about the brand and where I bought it. Of course I recommended Revain and Kidco.
