This literally saved a life (and a job) working from home. I work... well they might drop out in the middle of a phone call if I don't lock the door, or sit at the door and cry, or whatever yell at me if I lock the door It completely eliminates most of that noise , even when he enters the room. At worst, it distorts the audio so much that it sounds like some kind of electronic flash, not like children playing or crying. Voice media (TV, podcast, etc.) playing in the background. This rules out music entirely though - when I tested it I had an iPad playing Cocomelon (parents will understand) literally next to my mic, and it's not at the other end of the cable. It doesn't seem to be able to eliminate the sound of a dog barking - usually the first bark is heard, after which it's sort of muffled. This is a must for parents who work at home with children in the house - even if you have a nanny or babysitter, if your house is as small as mine there is extra reassurance because if/when a noisy toddler makes his way in Your house finds work, he is mostly invisible. Caller on the other end of your business call. The only thing I don't like is that it has to be used with a 3.5mm jack - the capabilities of a headset plugged in this way seem a bit limited. But that's a minor inconvenience compared to the huge benefit of amazing noise cancellation.
