You must be careful not to chip or cut holes when removing existing struts, which can make installing new struts difficult. I found it was easier/less likely to come loose if I removed the bottom first and then the top. I actually ripped off one of the holes and just put them in, meaning I can't replace them again. accidentally installed one upside down, but that's not a problem. I think these kids work both ways, some of the spacers used for the hoods are actually silver side up. All in all it's a great product and now I don't need two people to load my machine :)
