    They work! Best in Lifting Supports

    Arrived quickly. A little difficult to install (man without tools). They did not include the large washers that came with the original kit. These are very strong frames. I really have to pull the hatch door to close it. At least it doesn't fall on your head, a big plus! I just need to see how long they last to give an accurate review. Half the price of something like this at your local auto parts store.

    I got tired of balancing the back of my PT Cruiser's sunroof on my head while loading the walker onto the bed, and some of my friends got hit in the head while he was helping me.     Works great but one of the screws is broken

    Installed on a 2005 PT Cruiser. The old one came off easily with a sprocket and a wrench. This new one had a screw that was difficult to loosen during installation (using the correct sprocket fit) and was quite difficult to fully seat. Hopefully it will last long enough that we never have to worry about removing it again.     Perfect fit for 2004 PT Cruiser

    They fit my 2004 PT Cruiser perfectly. T40 screwdriver and superhuman strength. I had to go to a machine shop to install them. Of course, they did it in no time because they have all the necessary tools. So yes, it's a great liftgate, but you need the right tools to install it. Take her to the workshop.

    Bought as a replacement, works great. I don't know how people complained about being undressed.

    The tailgate dampers on my PT Cruiser were outrageous and the sunroof kept falling on my head. Bought as a replacement, works great. I don't know how people have complained about loose screws as I've had no problem using the correct Torx bit and Dewalt impact wrench. The sunroof does not work as it should and no longer falls on my head.

    Use caution when removing old struts from vehicle

    You must be careful not to chip or cut holes when removing existing struts, which can make installing new struts difficult. I found it was easier/less likely to come loose if I removed the bottom first and then the top. I actually ripped off one of the holes and just put them in, meaning I can't replace them again. accidentally installed one upside down, but that's not a problem. I think these kids work both ways, some of the spacers used for the hoods are actually silver side up. All in all…

    The only plus point is that the gas bottle works perfectly. I replaced the ends with factory ball joints.

    One end failed after the second hatch opening. The ends, although metal, are poorly finished. The groove in which the spring clip is located is not deep enough to securely hold the ball end of the latch in the socket under the action of the forces involved in opening and closing the hatch. When it failed, it damaged my paintwork. The only positive thing is that the gas bottle works perfectly. I replaced the ends with factory ball ends, luckily the threads are the same.
