Used for a boxer's fracture without displacement of my right 5th metacarpal (I'm right-handed) I had a soft splint for 3 days and the doctor recommended I take it an impression at the orthopedist. It sounded like overkill so I got it and it worked perfectly. My arms are big and skinny but I had no problem putting them on. It is pre-curved to the correct hand shape and allows for some customization. In the end I was x-rayed again and the doctor was impressed and told me to keep wearing it. The absolute best part is that you can take it off and wash your hand, plus it offers a good range of motion for your average index. - Thumb and side slits for breathability. I've been wearing it for over two weeks and the only side effects are a little blackening on the palm and back of my hand, but it washes off easily. 100% recommend this product to anyone (not allergic to neoprene) with a simple break like mine.
