Review on Intex Mariner Inflatable Boat Set Collection by Bob Souza

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Couldn't be better for the price. PERIOD

This is my third Mariner 3 in the last 11 years or so. At $163, I don't treat it with the same respect as my other $2,000. The raft that the mice ate anyway. I launched this raft yesterday in the harbor where I put my sailboat. I will use them to play in the harbor, take them to the many waterfront restaurants where there is parking only for your car (San Diego, CA). Which costs $7 each time before tipping the valet! Most boat owners in our marina also have a mud/raft. But their cost exceeds $4,000. (Before adding motors that are nearly $1,500 more expensive). The only difference this new model has from my other models is that it now has a keel and a hard bottom and because of the hard bottom it feels like it's twice as heavy. makes it less portable than others as you now need two people to transport it overland. That's fine with me as I'll be leaving her in the water behind my sailboat instead of blowing her off and taking her home for various trips before we finally get our boat. previously, you can still do it, but now with two people instead of one. I like the new floor, it's much more water resistant than the others. Definitely better for those who love fishing. I will keep buying them until something better comes along. Enjoy the water! Wherever you are!

Pros
  • Inflatable keel; this leads to improved control and manageability.
Cons
  • Nothing
