Good price, be careful when installing

These short MLT arms were quick and easy to install on my 2018 red MT-09. This is my first time doing a set of levers but with the help of a youtube tutorial I was able to do it all in an hour. I made sure the clutch cable was properly adjusted for the new levers, which took a bit of time as I had never done this before. The levers themselves are well made. You can clearly see that every single piece is made from a single piece of aluminum. is what you want Any piece made from a single piece is stronger and more durable than anything held together in any other way. The set was pretty good. There is a bearing in the clutch lever that needs to be reused. The places where the levers were attached were pretty solid, there was very little wiggle room. Although when assembling the clutch lever it was possible to tighten the bolt. Forcing him to squeeze the clutch lever to make sure the lever doesn't bounce back when released. However, the pivot points on the levers themselves were too loose in my opinion. So I tightened them. The nut at the bottom of the main pivot was a very odd size. 8mm was too big and 7mm too small. I don't recall seeing a 7.5mm jack, although I'm sure they're out there somewhere. The SAE dimensions were too loose for there to be no risk of nut rounding. Since I didn't have a socket that would fit this, I had to use an adjustable wrench to hold it while I tightened the hex bolt. The only issue I have with the clutch lever is that the spring the MZS uses seems a bit flimsy. I'm afraid it will wear out or break prematurely. I had to set the clutch cable on the lower setting to get the action I'm used to with the factory lever. I didn't have enough adjustment at the top to get it in the position I wanted. The brake lever was very easy to install, it was interesting to know that the piston was what caused the brake to engage. To be on the safe side, I used medium strength blue Loctite on both nuts. The finish on the levers themselves was pretty decent for the most part. Some surfaces show traces of processing after processing. It's fine, you can see what I'm talking about in the photos provided by the seller. Having worked in a machine shop for over 10 years, I am very familiar with the marks usually left by various tools during the machining process. The "Touch Skidproof Stripe" that MZS tries to output as an integrated feature is nothing more than tool marks that come from a flying milling cutter or another rotating milling tool. As far as I can tell, it doesn't affect liability much. I suspect this was overlooked, probably to save money for another process like polishing or acrobatics. You usually get what you pay for. These levers are pretty good for the price. You can't expect perfection for a fraction of what the brand stands for. The customization feature works better than I expected. If you were to measure the position of the ball end of the lever between the lowest and highest positions, there would be an adjustment of about an inch between them. I like it when both levers are set at 4 or 5. I was hoping that with these short levers I could grab the clutch lever with two fingers without pinching the other two fingers. But the way the clutch lever sits and is shaped when I pull it all the way out, it's just as uncomfortable for my two pinched fingers as the factory lever. Although I can honestly operate the clutch lever with three fingers, I keep my pinky on the steering wheel and away from the levers. I was hoping it would be short enough and shaped enough to avoid pinching your fingers, but unfortunately it doesn't. That was the main reason I bought these levers. While it didn't quite work out the way I hoped, I'm happy with the leverage. If I had paid more for it, I probably wouldn't. They look good on the bike, the factory levers looked cheap. I have black ones with a red border. So overall I'm happy with my MZS lever set, 4 stars. Before setting off, check whether the brake lever works smoothly and whether it returns to its original position after a few test pulls. Make sure the brake piston is in place on the brake lever before reassembling. I would grease the piston a bit. I've read several reports of brake levers getting stuck and causing a crash or crash without proper installation.
