I hope mine was just a lemon

This item was as described with updated keys - very good indeed. It had a protective case for added protection. Disabling the trackpad was saved so it didn't have to be turned off every time. Unfortunately, and I hope mine was just bad - the hinge was VERY tight, very tight. I opened it in the middle on each side to minimize stress, but after about 6 uses the iPad and case started popping out of the bottom of the top every time I tried to open it. It seemed that each time it got harder for me. Finally, on my sixth use, the iPad popped up every time I tried to change the angle, I gave up. After I removed it, it turned out that cracks may have formed on the case due to the load on the fixed hinge. As said, there is extra money for the design, but the hinge has become a disadvantage of this device. One small issue is that it didn't fully close from the start and the iPad stayed on for a while. This has also been linked to the problem of tight loops. When I went to return it it said 'Not available for return' but Revain customer service credited me for the item. I tested.
